"They do so much more than just a job"

About: South West Acute Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I just wanted to note the amazing services and support we received recently at SWAH.

My husband and I arrived at around 3.30 for planned induction with our third child. From arrival through induction, observations, changing treatment plan due to baby distress, labour, emergency section, recovery to discharge, every single member of staff were incredible.

Throughout our journey we went from a very calm planned situation to a very traumatic emergency situation. The support, care, reassurance and level of healthcare we received throughout was amazing and helped us deal with everything much better.

As a breastfeeding mother, I can’t praise the SWAH team enough. Initial help in recovery to latch baby to encouragement and support from every member of the team was super! A very positive experience.

These people are incredible! They do so much more than just a job!! Thank you all!

Thank you for your sharing your experience with us. It is wonderful for the staff to receive positive feedback, especially at this time during the pandemic. To hear that you felt well supported, and involved in your care throughout is always encouraging. As this would be the standard we strive to achieve.

I will share with the staff the positive experience that you had with us, and thank you again for sharing your feedback on your experience.
