"Amazing maternity unit"

I attended last week to accompany my sister who was asked to come into the hospital to check if her waters had broken. 

We were in the midwife led department for several hours while various tests were performed before going home to return the next day once her labour had established.

The care and treatment we received during this time was second to none, the midwife was so attentive, friendly and reassuring. It was such a welcoming environment and they made sure that they looked after both of us during our time and left with all the relevant information. 

I wanted to also take the opportunity to give a special mention to the student midwife looking after us also (Lucie) who was absolutely fantastic and spent time explaining everything to us and was so friendly and knowledgeable. I believe she is due to come to the end of her training soon and I have no doubt she will be a fantastic addition to any department she joins in the future and would be delighted to have her look after us again.
