About: Antrim Area Hospital / Accidents & Emergency Antrim Area Hospital / Ward C4 Male Surgical

(as a relative),

My elderly father attended ED and was admitted to C4 late December. The care was provided compassionately with a smile but it would have been good if water had been provided.

The MDT from ward clerk at ED to the porter who helped us leave were all excellent . Nursing and HCAs kept my dads spirits up and together with medical staff, and pharmacy staff ,  provided the family with information on my dads care . It was really useful to have a call with the consultant .

Thank you for taking the time to share your Fathers experience of kindness and care provided by all staff in ED and C4. I am sorry your father had not been provided with water.

I will share with Senior Management team and hope to have a response soon.

thank you for your feedback on your attendance at Antrim Area Hospital Emergency Department. I will share your feedback with staff, and can only apologise that your father was not offered a jug of water. This would usually be offered by nursing and catering staff.
