After putting it off a couple of times previously, I was offered a cancellation appointment at Larbert General. I was a bit apprehensive as I had heard numerous tales regarding the varying levels of success with op and that the recovery was a nightmare. Thankfully I am still working from home due to the pandemic and changed my job from a PT to.an office based role so, on balance, I felt this was as good an opportunity as I was going to have to.get it done without too much disruption to my life.
The medical team were great! They were friendly and engaging and put me at ease right away. The surgeon, Miss Bennet, was great too, We actually had good banter throughout the operation where I tried to negotiate down the delay to me returning to doing press ups, she wasn't having it at all! Bully! Lol My wound is really neat and healing well. I can't use it much yet but it's only two weeks since the op, so all things considered I am doing really well. Think I agree with Miss Bennet now, don't fancy doing press ups for a while yet tbh!! It was fun negotiating though! Thank you so much to the team for putting me at ease and doing such a fantastic job. Awesome!!!
