"Stick to what you say"

About: Children’s Services / Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)

(as a service user),

My daughter attended a few appointments at CAMHS at Gransha Park, Derry, and I was told they would get back to me again in 2 weeks with a phone call to go to a class elsewhere for self confidence.  This was in August 2021.  It is now Feb 2022 and still nothing.  I’m not blaming everyone here as I spoke to a really nice fella previous, but come on, stick to what you say!

I’m glad to tell you that my daughter is doing well and her confidence is growing daily.

encourage people to share their experiences of health and social care, what matters to you, what you particularly liked or disliked so that we can share with the relevant department, and staff .

Dear Gills10

My name is Edel O Neill and I am the Team Manager of the CAMHS Team based in Gransha Park Derry.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your experience of the service with your daughter. I can only apologise that a more timely phone call was not made to you before now to discuss possible supports for your daughter in the community. If your daughter has had or has a keyworker within the service, they would be happy to speak with you to discuss this further. Our number here is 028 71865238.

Equally I would be happy and appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further with, if that seems helpful, as we value and appreciate every opportunity to hear and understand how we can continue to improve the delivery of our service to the young people and families we work alongside of.

It is such welcomed news your daughter is doing well.

Kind Regards

Edel
