"My stay and treatment in Coronary Care unit with Covid"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Critical Care

(as the patient),

I was transferred from Ward 7 to the coronary care unit due to my Covid deteriorating in September 2021. From the minute I arrived in the ward I was treated with dignity and respect by all staff from the senior ITU consultant to the staff who cleaned the room out.  They explained everything that was happening to me although I don’t think I took half of it in.  They fought and encouraged me to fight the hardest battle I have ever fought and were totally understanding and very patient with my family who where called in.  My family said they were amazing and treated them so well.

Thank you all for all that you done for me in helping me get well and home to enjoy my family , love you all but I sincerely hope I don’t have to see you all again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback in regards to your experience of using the Coronary Care Unit of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

I was sorry to hear you had to attend the unit due to ongoing COVID symptoms, but to hear of the remarkable care you received throughout your journey was very heart warming and a great testament to the hard work and commitment of the staff within this unit so thank you.

It was nice to hear how the staff helped you battle through the pain barrier and how you are now on the road to recovery in what must have been an extremely worrying time for you and your family.

I will be delighted to pass on your thanks to the staff involved who I'm sure will be as humbled as I was to read your story.
