"Ambulance service and hospital staff"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance Victoria Hospital / General Medicine

(as a service user),

Firstly it’s absolutely ridiculous a paramedic that I complained about previously, and received an apology from, can 2 years later come into my house and, in my opinion, let this previous complaint affect my care.

As for the Victoria hospital, I was admitted in August and now have a complaint in that is being dragged out. It amazes me that what I was prescribed before I became “unresponsive” has been left out of my discharge papers. I still don’t know what I was prescribed and I’m disgusted as they seem to be implying I might of took something else.

The whole episode over 2 plus years has been a fiasco!

I will say not all the care and communication I’ve had has been awful, but the bad experiences and the long drawn complaints process is enough to make anyone fed up!
