"Getting an appointment"

About: Riverside Health Centre

(as the patient),

I waited nearly 3 weeks for a GP telephone appointment following which I had a blood test. On requesting the result I was told the GP was satisfied and no further action. This didn't make sense to me as I still had/have the same issues. I was offered a telephone call from the GP but unfortunately this hasn't happened. I telephoned the surgery today to request an appointment with the GP I am registered with. However no prebooking appointments were available and I was advised to ring back at a later time. I don't contact GPs unnecessarily and I had already explored other possibilities ie Physiotherapy and in fact it was the Physiotherapist who said I needed to speak to a GP.

How did I feel? Marginalised, depressed, angry and worried.
