"Extremely Rude Consultant"

About: Edgbaston Hospital

My recent visit to this hospital has left me NEVER wanting to access private healthcare again and certainly never in a million years with the Circle Group. Although staff on the whole were cold and clinical the attitude of the consultant was utterly unbelievable. Apologising for being 5 minutes late for my appointment, having been sent by BMI to their other hospital and then for spending 10 minutes in reception completing paper work and waiting to be called by him, he shouted at me saying he was a busy man, had other patients and hadn't time to waste! He was clearly unconcerned that the 5 minutes of his time was time I was paying for! Not the other way around. He continued to be abrupt, fractious, aggressive and downright rude. Needless to say it certainly wasn't a good consultation, in fact I wouldn't even call it a consultation more like a lecture and I left being non the wiser, no further forward in a treatment plan but certainly considerably lighter financially! What a thoroughly unpleasant man and a dreadful and expensive experience. I dread to think how he treats the medical students at the QE!
