I was referred by her doctor in Greater Manchester for a pelvic ultrasound scan. After receiving the letter to book the appointment I was on hold for over 2 hours and then the line went dead. I emailed the company asking if someone could contact us to arrange the appointment. 5 days later we received a call and was told the only way we could be booked in was to phone back Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm. I explained I had tried this and as I am a teacher I simply cannot sit there on hold for hours on end. I was met with, well there isn't much else I can do for you, jut keep trying. Two weeks after receiving her referral letter I was on half term and was able to sit there for almost 3 hours to book a scan. I was given a date of mid December (12 weeks after receiving the letter). The scan took place almost 9 miles way from our GP surgery (so much for community scanning) by a sonographer who didn't speak a word of English and did in no way communicate verbally with me, this was left to the young lady assisting. Furthermore I have just phoned our GP to go through the results of the scan and have been told by our surgery that they have still not received the report from the company. Absolute disgraceful.
