I had 2 cardiac scans on consecutive dayside at the LGI nuclear medicine dpartment this week. I was quite scared especially about the second one as several people had told me it could be horrible. The staff were great, on both occasions, explaining things really well, reassuring me, and treating me with real kindness. Promptly seen, and not rushed after when I felt a little iffy.
The only downsides were that 1) the info by letter was not quite accurate, and some of my anxiety could have been allayed if it had been 2) the tv in waiting area is intended to help pass the time as there is a bit of waiting involved between different stages of the tests but mindless daytime tv is pretty irritating and a nice music channel might be more soothing!
