I became very unwell in the early hours of the morning of Thursday 27th January and was taken by ambulance to A&E at Forth Valley Royal Hospital at Larbert. The paramedics, Ronnie and Stuart, were both brilliant and professional as was Ashleigh, my A&E nurse and Alicia, nurse student. I felt they were friendly yet professional and genuinely interested in my wellbeing and explained everything that was going to happen in terms of tests.
After a couple of hours in the A&E dept, I was transferred to the Urgent Care Centre which I understand is a relatively new department at the hospital. Again, there I received professional yet friendly care from all the staff who, if directly dealing with me introduced themselves and made sure I was comfortable and explained what they were doing. The doctor who saw me with regards to my health issue was absolutely brilliant. She really took the time to listen to what I had experienced and then explained to me next steps for my health and what would be put in place to achieve this. Overall, I was extremely impressed with my experience this morning. There were no delays in my being treated, I felt fully informed and all the staff were nothing but kind, friendly and professional.
"Genuinely interested in my wellbeing"
