About: Older People’s Services / Hospital at Home Northern Sector

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

My husband has been in bed now about 5 years.  Acute care can give him great care at home, better than in hospital as we all have more time for him.  His food has to be very soft so he can swallow it.  His carers come in 4 times a day and I could not cope without them- they are all very good.  The acute care doctors and nurses are also very good and help my husband when I need them.  Thank you all very much

Thanks you very much for your kind feedback. Acute care at home aim to medically treat patient and prevent admission to hospital. I am delighted to hear that your husband was able to be treated in his own surroundings while been cared for by yourself and family. I will pass on your feedback to all the staff.
