As a relative taking my elderly father for CT colonoscopy there was a great worry on how to prepare for it, keep him safe and also support him with the process as well as the potential diagnosis; I would like to praise the various people involved in this process. We received a letter which was very clear and set out a diet plan for each day. This was easy to follow and covered all our questions such as how do we look after dads blood sugars. We also had to call to move the time for f the appointment on account of dad’s diabetes and the lady on the phone could not have been more helpful and understanding… she was empathetic to our concerns and offered reassurance. We followed all the instructions and today have come to the causeway radiology department for the procedure. The department is bright and cheery with lovely artwork. I am so impressed at their invitation to use Care Opinion to share this feedback. The radiographer was really friendly and took time to chat to dad as I waited in the waiting area. This is a great department with a wonderful ethos- I’d love to see this in all areas of the health service. For the team who work here - they should be proud of what they deliver
