The programme consisted of a series of 18 sessions held over Zoom. The sessions were spaced out over a period of time. The first series of sessions were held once a week. The next series of sessions were held every two weeks and the last series of sessions were held once a month.
This kind of timetabling enabled one to take in the information and also put in into practice between the sessions. The total of 18 sessions were very informative and lasted in total about 18 hours (each session was roughly an hour in length. The sessions explained various aspects of what one's diet should consist of so as to prevent/lessen the chance of developing Type 2 Diabetes. The Zoom presentation was shared with other folk who were in the diabetes category.
The information was given in a non-threatening way and it was up to the participant to engage/not engage with the sessions. I certainly would have no hesitation in recommending the Diabetes Prevention Programme NI. To me it was time well spent.
