"Chest pain"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Fast efficient service from both SAS and University Hospital Hairmyres Emergency Department.

From being rudely awakened by chest pain in the early hours of the morning, I was transported, treated and discharged home by 0810.

Thankfully a false alarm but as a healthcare professional, thought I should take my own advice and get checked out.

All staff I encountered were professional, courteous and friendly.

Dear Mum12

Thank you for sharing your experience when attending the Accident and Emergency department within University Hospital Hairmyres.

I am so happy you recognised the importance of taking action to get checked out.

The staff within the department will be delighted to hear your very kind words of encouragement.

Again, many thanks for your positive feedback.

I hope all is well with you.

Best wishes

Jean

Dear Mum12,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback here on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read that you required the use of our services, I do hope that you are making a good recovery and feeling better. This must have been a worrying time for you. I always imagine chest pain to be terrifying!

I am however, really pleased to read the lovely comments about the staff that looked after you and I would be happy to pass these onto the crew and their manager. In order to do this I would just need some more details. If you would like for this to happen can I ask you to email the date, time and location that the ambulance attended you and your name. This can be sent to sas.feedback@nhs.scot. I would also be very grateful if you could make reference to your CareOpinion username so that the team can easily link your email to this story.

Thanks again and I wish you all the very best.

Kind Regards

Alan
