"Excellent care"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency Glasgow Royal Infirmary / General Surgery (wards 64, 65, 66,& 67) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

Many thanks to the staff in SAS, GRI A&E and GRI ward 65, where he spent most of his time, and also wards 66 and 67.  My partner was admitted on 2 occasions with significant bleeds.  With covid rules in place, the nursing staff took such good care of him.  He described care as respectful, honest and felt that staff, including the student nurse he spoke to, were interested in the things that were important to him.  He felt reassured when bleeding was a problem, he felt safe with the team that was caring from him.  He described staff as gentle and really felt that he was treated as a person.  Sr White should be very proud of her team.  Thankyou for your care.

Dear Jrk37

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch with your Feedback.

I am really sorry to hear your partner has been unwell and I can fully appreciate this must have been a very stressful and worrying time for you both, especially with the situation you describe happening twice.

I am delighted to read about the wonderful care provided by everyone involved in your partners care and great to see that your partner felt reassured along the way, I hope this helped to put his mind at ease somewhat.

I hope your partner is feeling better and recovering well.

Thank you once again for getting in touch and I wish you and your partner all the very best

Kind Regards

Lesley

Dear Jrk37,

Thank you for getting in touch with your kind comments about the care received by your partner.

I am sorry to read that your partner had to undergo several admissions and trust that he is recovering.

I am pleased that he felt staff in our wards were caring, respectful and able to make him feel safe and treated as an individual.

I will share these comments with the relevant staff and departments.

Kind regards

John Carson
