(as the patient),

I attended for a gastroscopy, feeling very anxious. Every member of staff from the receptionist to after care nurse was professional, caring and kind.  It can be an unpleasant procedure but they did their best to make sure I was comfortable and at ease.

Dear mags56

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback about your stay in our Endoscopy Unit. It is daunting coming to the hospital for a procedure, so it was good to read that our staff looked after you well and were able to put you at ease.

You have said that your sedation could have been improved and I would be keen to chat to you about that to see if there is any learning for us. If you feel it would be helpful, you can contact me directly on 01592 643355 ext 21844.
