About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Blossom Ward (Paediatrics)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

The care my child was receiving was amazing and this was down to the nurses are doctors who were outstanding and couldn’t do enough for her. 5 stars for the cleaning, my child even personally commented on how clean it was.

Impressed by the food and variety and are very appreciative that we were regularly updated about the treatment plan. Only request is that there be a way the parents could receive food such as being allowed in the canteen or a service like for the patients only paid for.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I am so pleased that you found that the care your child received was so good and that the ward was clean. Hygiene is extremely important to us. I'm pleased that you found that your child's food was good. I'm sorry about the visitor canteen situation at present. Hopefully once the pandemic resolves we can return back to our normal services.

Thank you for your comments on the care that your daughter received: colleagues will be very happy to read these and I am glad that she is improving.

Unfortunately due to spacing/distancing in the canteen it is impossible to open up to the public at this time however I will certainly pass on your suggestions in relation to provision of food to parents for consideration.
