"Diabetic friendly breakfast options"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Blossom Ward (Paediatrics) Craigavon Area Hospital / Intensive Care Unit

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Kept informed about my child’s treatment and blossom is very clean. Everybody in blossom was fantastic as well as in ICU where she was previously. The pediatricians were perfect developing an outstanding level of care. My only complaint is that the breakfasts were not diabetic friendly.

Dear Matdw53

Thank you for contacting us to share your experience. I am glad that your daughter is now out of ICU and that you are happy with the transfer to Blossom Ward.

I will certainly ensure that your comments in relation to an appropriate menu for diabetic patients is shared with colleagues in the catering department. I will also make sure that the staff on the ward are reminded of the importance of checking the trays before they are brought into the patients who have specific dietary needs.

Thank you for taking time to let us know where we need to improve. We really appreciate and value your comments.

Regards

Bernie
