"Acute Oncology Service"

Thank you for this opportunity to praise the work of your service.

My total experience has been exceptionally good. I cannot praise or single out an individual member or staff as they have all gone way beyond what would be understood as service in any other industry. The support assistants have all worked with good humour and respect, which to someone who was stressed and anxious was essential. The nurses are so hard working, faultless, professional and full of energy - how do they keep it up especially in these times of staff shortages and pressure on them daily all day long? Ad for the doctors, well their keenness and commitment to me cannot be surpassed.

My experience of your service has been typified by the depth of follow up, keenness to listen and carefully respond urgently and pursue it to a satisfactory conclusion and checking that I was alright sometime later by phone.

My only suggestion concerns a national picture of how the NHS is regarded by the current government. I would like the everyday practitioners to be properly valued by the taxpayer. I am not related to anyone that is employed in the health service; I write as a very grateful patient
