"Excellent GP response to complex vaccination issue."

This is my third contribution to this Care Opinion site as I believe it is extremely important to acknowledge, what I consider to be outstanding patient commitment and care by our health service and in this instance our GP, Dr. Stockman, from Regency Health Care, Newtownards. 

Our daughter who has severe learning difficulties and autism was due to receive her booster vaccination against covid 19. 

Unfortunately, as was previously the case with the first 2 vaccinations she was very stressed and nervous.  With the able assistance of Dr. Stockman, who made himself readily available to deal with what was a very difficult situation,

we prepared a plan to deal with this which took a considerable period of time to resolve. 

In any event, by arrangement with Dr. Stockman our daughter was sedated and he then called at our home despite his hectic schedule, to administer the vaccine. 

It wasn’t all plain sailing but with the Doctors full understanding of the complexities of our daughters situation including the distress of the entire process he managed (to our relief) give her the booster jab. 

We are very grateful to Doctor Stockman (not forgetting staff at Regency Health) for taking  the time and making the effort, despite his busy schedule, to deal with this situation in a very understanding and sensitive manner. 

We all greatly appreciate it.
