"Praise for exemplary staff"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Combined Assessment Unit (CAU) University Hospital Ayr / General Medicine

(as a carer),

I just want to praise ALL the staff in the CAU and Station 6, Ayr Hospital for the care they gave my dad when he was admitted at the beginning of January. In these trying times with Covid the staff were all extremely attentive and kept the family up to date with what was happening with dad. Mum was allowed to visit and the staff all informed of what had been happening with dad.

My mum, an 80 year old retired nurse, says it is the best treatment of patients she has witnessed in many years in a hospital. Both mum and dad said that all staff were amazing, the food was great and the wards were immaculately clean. Dad, although still unwell, has now been discharged, but as a family we can't praise or thank the team in CAU and Station 6 enough. You are all doing a great job and we as a family are thankful for that.

Thank you for your kind words with regards to your dads recent admission to UHA. We really do appreciate it when families take the time to send us feedback. We do trust your dad is feeling stronger day by day. I will certainly pass on your acknowledgement to my team.

Thank you again.

Gordon Elliott
