"I felt that I was in good hands"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Breast Services

(as a service user),

Initially I was expecting to have a zoom consultation with the new consultant Miss Mondani who had joined the Breast Unit Team after Mr Bourne retired earlier in December.

I was happy that the newly appointed consultant wished to have a face to face consultation at the end of December so she could examine the site where surgery had taken place the month before.

Miss Mondani was very approachable and very clear with her explanation about the next stage of my treatment.

I felt that I was in good hands as Miss Mondani was efficient.

She listened carefully to my concerns and said she would be writing to my GP, which she must have been done quickly, because less than 2 weeks later the GP got in touch with me to follow through her recommendations.

At the Breast Unit I must mention the extraordinary kindness shown by Nurse Amma,to me and my husband who accompanied me 

We had travelled a considerable distance to attend the appointment and Nurse Amma was lovely as she reassured me and my husband as looked after us and kept us informed.

A big thank you to all of you at the Breast Unit as you are doing a wonderful job.
