I had slipped and fallen in my garden - dislocated toe! And later learned it was fractured too. I went immediately to the ED at Forth Valley and was taken within 30 mins. I cannot thank the staff enough for their care and attention, and for looking after me! I was worried as I had a damaged foot previously operated on but it was fine. Staff were great and took great care of me from the ED, X-ray dept and porters. When doctor pulled toe back into position, she made that look so easy!! It was amazing. The nurse that looked after me was so supportive when doctor was carrying this out! I had to be fitted with a boot before going home and this was done so well by the nursing assistant! She was superb. I was so sore and upset when I walked through the doors of the ED department, but staff made me feel I was looked after and safe! It’s a horrible time with this pandemic going on and I’ve been in touch with my own GP surgery on occasions, but was so good to see these professionals face to face ( masks on obviously)! Thank you all so much for helping me when I really needed it.
