"Had a mri scan on my head"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Clinical Imaging Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / MRI

(as a service user),

I'm clostrophobic and having the mri done was a horrendous experience - but it was needed so knew I had to carry on. That didn't stop me from panicking and acting like a baby though ( much to my embarassment).

The radiographer was fantastic -  very calming and reassuring. Even joked about how many people have had the same reaction stopping me from feeling like an idiot. Anyway just wanted to say thankyou so much but I hope I never have to have another one of them again!

Good Afternoon

Thank you for taking time to respond in Care Opinion regarding your recent MRI experience. I am pleased you managed to go through with your scan and that the staff looking after you were able to make it more bearable. We will pass on your gratitude to James Shaw, our MRI team lead so that he can share this feedback with his team.

I hope you manage to escape the need for further scans but please be reassured that we would do our utmost to support you again if that was required!

Very best wishes

Glenda
