My elderly uncle was admitted to the Mater hospital in April and the care he received was exceptional from all staff on the ward although he was on a covid ward ( he didn't have covid ) I was able to visit him regularly as he was on end of life care.After he died their bereavement team contacted me on a number of occasions to see how I was. His last days were very peaceful and I was grateful for that as the care he received in 3 weeks in a nursing home hadn't been.

Thank you to taking the time to share your Uncles experience with us. Please can I pass on my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I am delighted to hear he had a very Peaceful death and you and your family were very happy with the care delivered to him on the ward. Staff strive to focus on patient centred care and this post will delight the staff especially during these very challenging times. Thank you so much for these kind words, I will pass on your heart felt gratitude to all the staff involved.
