"Extremely disappointing discrimination against…"

I have never been so disappointed in this GP surgery as I am now. I had to have an in person gynaecology related appointment. I am unfortunately exempt from wearing a mask as it causes me severe pain as a result of my medical issues. I got to the surgery and told them why I was there. Shockingly I was told that I would have to wait for my appointment outside the surgery in the pouring rain!!! Anyone who could wear a mask was allowed in. Even our local hospital does not take such barbaric actions against the disabled! I'm lucky I had a coat, but was left otherwise freezing as due to the type of appointment, I was wearing a skirt. They didn't even give any forewarning about this, the first time I knew of this occurring was when I experienced this. The worst part is they didn't even let me in when my appointment time came. I had to wait for 15 minutes after my appointment time to be allowed in. Luckily the nurse who took my appointment was great but otherwise the practice in general was terrible. I've had to wait over 45 minutes after an appointment time with this surgery before (and yes this has been during COVID). Having to stand outside for 15 minutes, freezing cold and in the pouring rain was bad enough, the thought of having to deal with longer is the stuff of nightmares.
