First call to local GPs who were closed. The voicemail advised to call 111. Very helpful person from 111, followed by a call from a 'clinician' who couldn't seem to understand what I was saying, but eventually said an out of hours appointment could be arranged. I had a phone call back from a very helpful, reassuring and understanding person who arranged an appointment immediately. The appointment was with an advanced nurse practitioner, who, it became apparent, was abrupt, lacking any understanding or sympathy, and, ultimately, was not in the slightest bit helpful. This person was happy to talk about their own experience feeling ill, but did not address the actual problem. A complete waste of time.
