"Visit to a&e with my son"

About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Emergency department

(as a service user),

Had to attend A&E my son had fallen and split his head .. The department was very busy .  But staff were very patient when attending and explaining things to my son who has DCD, Verbal Dyspraxia, and Heightened levels of anxiety. They let him take his time and speak at his own pace and took the time to listen to him even though they were under immense pressure and so busy.Thank you to all . You made the experience so much easier .

encourage people to share their experiences of health and social care, what matters to you, what you particularly liked or disliked so that we can share with the relevant department, and staff .

Best wishes to you and your son
