"Positive mole removal experience"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Surgical Skin Team General practices in Forth Valley

(as the patient),

About 5 weeks ago I had a doctors appointment to check an unusual spot/wart. The doctor reassured me that there was no danger with it and did a quick check of an unusual mole on my back that my husband had commented on.  She referred me to Dermatology and I managed to get a cancellation in less than a week.   At this appointment they suggested removal of the mole and they looked up their appointment register and got me an appointment a few days before Christmas.

I have now successfully had the mole removed and from start to finish it took only around 5 weeks,
I appreciate that some people have had to wait a lot longer for treatment but I would would like to share this positive experience and let you know the system was still working in some areas - don't give up hope.
I'd also like to give a shout out for the staff at Forth Valley Hospital - David, Lynda and Alisha.   They were all excellent and helped me through the process.  Many thanks.

Dear AlvaBuddie,

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely, detailed account of your visit. It is great that you found something to be positive about in these bleak times!

Hopefully everything is healing as planned and you didn't find it too uncomfortable afterwards,

Thanks again

David
