"Unpleasant experience in emergency department"

(as the patient),

I was informed by NHS 24 to go to A&E as it was not something my GP was able to deal with and had to have ECG and Xray. 

Most staff were friendly however one doctor seemed very dismissive and I felt as though I was being a burden to the department, It was busy and seemed understaffed, while the nurse was nice enough, I felt the doctor did not have the time to deal with me. I understand how busy the ED is, however it was evident from conversations I had heard how understaffed it was.  It is not unusual to hear about it in the media, however experiencing it was something else.

I stood in the corridor waiting for a staff member to acknowledge me holding a bowl of urine, doctors in scrubs walked past me. When I asked who I should give it to a doctor said you need to give it to your nurse and walked away, I felt embarrassed and went back to my cubicle waiting for someone to appear.

I was made to wear a hospital gown and thought this must be for surgery but then told no, it's just what happens.  Why is this? I know there are pressures in NHS and feel for staff dealing with them but it wasn't a pleasant experience as a patient.
