"Seeing a gynaecologist"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Gynaecology Services

(as the patient),

I was referred to see a consultant for a gynaecological issue. The care and advice I received from them was just shockingly inadequate. Needless to say, I felt like a piece of meat assessed by a butcher. I felt the advice given by the consultant was so wrong that it was laughable. Also, if their diagnosis was correct, they should have taken it further, but they didn’t. The issues I mentioned, which were potentially important, were completely ignored. Can I highlight please that the assisting nurse was lovely and they did their best to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. I felt they were under pressure from their colleague.
