My experience at this hospital: I was sent by the birth centre in Barking to this hospital to induce my birth because my waters had broken, but I didn't have contractions. I got to the hospital but I was very concerned. Someone took me from there and checked my baby's heartbeat, gave me a quick covid test and following this test my nausea started.

I went to a room where I had to wait until I was sufficiently dilated. In the end I dilated 4 cm and then I asked for an epidural

I was lucky to have a very nice midwife who took care of me day and night. When I was about to give birth, a midwife came with a very nice student, who both helped and supported me.

The baby was born and I couldn't breastfeed. I asked someone to help me but in vain. I couldn't get out of bed too well because I was cut, and when I called the midwife to assist me with breastfeeding I was told to get out of bed to try on my own. It was a nightmare and I felt that they were very rude, especially in the evening. My baby was crying from hunger and no one wanted to help me breastfeed.

I feel the staff should be much more understanding, but otherwise it was ok.
