"Personal element"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Whist the staff in Daisy Hill are extremely busy they always ensure to keep a friendly element to the care they provide for you. I like to consider myself well looked after at home, getting my hair and nails done often but this is not a service in the hospital. The staff took time to get to know me when I was first admitted and now they know the different things I like to do. Each week staff take time out of their day to do the small things like brush my hair, help me with my makeup and painting my nails. I can understand that these are not essential things when in hospital but it makes the experience more enjoyable and you feel appreciated by staff. The staff are so kind and caring in hospital.
