(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I am finding it quite difficult being admitted to hospital at this time of year with no sign of a discharge date. The virtual visiting service has been a blessing to keep me in touch with my family as I am not great with technology but it is not the same as seeing them face to face. I have become very fond of a lot of staff in Daisy Hill as they are great at helping me through this emotional time. Staff do not even realise but by just being themselves hey put a smile on my face and brighten up my day. All while being great healthcare staff and providing me with the best care I need.

Good afternoon

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the new Virtual Visiting Service in Southern Health and Social Services Trust. We recognise how difficult it is for patients and families at the minute due to Covid 19.

This new service has been established to try to support families and patients during this time and your story just lets us see how the important the service has been to you.

I have personally shared this story with all the members of the virtual Visiting Team. They are just delighted with this feedback.
