After suffering months of kidney pain caused by a ureteric stone, I was admitted on 04.12 after a CT scan confirmed that an intervention was needed. I was taken up to the SAU (surgical assessment unit) and received very good care and treatment. I have Autism, so I was very scared and worried about surgery. The ward sister and consultant registrar explained everything to me and what would happen during and after surgery. I am very grateful to the ward sister for being so kind and thoughtful towards me whilst on SAU ward. After surgery I was placed on E4 ward and again, my treatment was excellent. I felt cared for by the doctors and nurses and importantly, consideration was given to me as a person on the Autistic Spectrum. I cannot thank QA Hospital enough, I am now pain free and recovering at home after a 3 day stay.
"Exceptional care and treatment"
