"Support during birth"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care)

(as the patient),

I would like to share some thanks to the staff in the labour ward!

Lily is my first baby and the whole birthing experience for me was difficult to deal with.. I felt like I had so much support and care from the staff there.

At every stage in my labour everything was always explained to me and made sure I was comfortable with.

From the guy who fitted the needle in my arm to the guy who put in my epidural to the midwifes who came and went to cover Amy’s break and the midwife who took over when Amy finished you all made me feel like you cared so much for me and Lily’s well being and that you love what you do!

Most important thank you to Amy who helped me through the hardest part and did her best to make me comfortable.

You all do amazing things and we really appreciated how our experience was improved by every member of staff we crossed!

Dear Sal1997

Many congratulations to you on the birth of baby Lily. Please accept my apologies for my delay in responding to you. Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. I will share this with the team and of course Amy, who appears to have been a wonderful support to you. The team on labour ward will be delighted to receive this feedback.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a lovely New Year
