"Knee Replacement"

I had a complex knee replacement 2 weeks ago after having stage one of a 2 stage replacement, after an infection in knee replacement. I had a year’s wait in plaster cast while a custom replacement was ordered. I was a bit worried prior to the op as this was a different consultant but no need to worry as, consultant was really good, listened to my view and worries whilst explaining other options, which weren’t great options to me. I’m very grateful to the consultant and his team for all they have done, and expertise and skills. I am so far happy that I have no pain, the first knee replacement was not pain free and I am very surprised I am not in pain. I just hope now that all will go well. I know I’ve still got a long way to go yet with this but I am very grateful for all the hard work of the consultant and his continued help. This has been my greatest experience ever, over the last 9 years with knee problems. I’ve been to a few hospitals in my area in that time, which have been such a disappointment. I’m very grateful to Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and the consultants I’ve seen. I’m very grateful to the consultant that has now done 2nd stage knee replacement. I never thought I’d get relief from pain. So this is an added bonus. Thank you for all your help so far.
