"Poor GP service"

In my experience my local GP practice has some awful GP’s and reception staff. One GP in particular has a shocking attitude and I feel looks down at their patients like they are dirt. They have no manners and lack empathic understanding of patients needs. I find that the reception staff behave like tyrants and are so abrupt and obnoxious I actually dread having to communicate with them. Repeat prescriptions take 3 days+ to do as opposed to the requested 2 day notice and good luck trying to get them to answer a phone!

Conversely, other doctor's are superb and a credit to their profession. So, what’s gone so badly wrong with the other staff?? The practice manager surely has to address the poor standards at the Health Centre!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your personal experience of your GP practice on Care Opinion. I was so sorry to read of your dissatisfaction.

I can however advise that GP’s are independent contractors and are responsible for investigating and responding to any concerns a person may have about their service.
