I don’t have one complaint at all to say about my whole time here on 4 North. I have been in here for 3 weeks and was very hopeful to be getting out today but that doesn’t seem to be the case sadly. My stoma bag is playing up so hopefully I can get the tablets I need to get this sorted and then get home as soon as I am fit to. 3 weeks is a long time to be in hospital but sure what can you do. The staff are very good when they are communicating with you and they explain everything really well to you. I was previously on the elective ward is it was pure manic. It was unreal to see the amount of patients and work the staff had to deal with when I was there. The only issue I can see is the fact the staff are overrun and can’t manage all they have to do. The cleaning has been brilliant on the ward and my side room is always kept in order. The food is lovely and I am grateful to have got my appetite back. In terms of COVID I still feel safe and do all I can to protect myself from it too. I try to stay in my room and whenever I do leave the room I wear a mask and wash my hands regularly. Overall everything has been spot on and I am just looking forward to getting home.
