Every time I have any dealings with this so called 'Practice' there's grief of one sort or another. The only thing from my experience that they practice is how to frustrate and aggravate people, people who approach them out of medical need. On at least three separate occasions, they have managed to lose my repeat prescription requests. No apology, just some person (who apparently was responsible for losing the requests) who's worn out cliché is 'going forward'. There is only one direction this practice is going and that is backward. If you seek medical help, they suggest 111, so they're passing the buck on to an already over stretched service so they don't have to deal with you. Of course if you feel you're in need of emergency help, you can always call an ambulance to take you to A & E but forget about getting an appointment with a GP. 111 or A&E are your only options, which beggars the question as to why this 'practice' exists at all? I turned up at the surgery one day with a person in front of me who complained about the phone not being answered. He was told by the receptionist that because the management 'had cut back on staff' they were unable to answer the phone as frequently as they would like. What staff? It seems there are insufficient numbers to deal with anything! My latest experience after having missed a telephone appointment with the practice pharmacist was a text asking me to "rebook by phone". This seemed straightforward enough. After listening to a musical dirge for 20 minutes that left me feeling almost suicidal, I finally got through to a receptionist. In spite of being told to "rebook by phone" I was told she couldn't do anything by phone and I had to go on to e-consult on my computer. I'm not sure what someone (e.g an elderly person) would do if they didn't have a computer as this was never explained. During the conversation, I assumed they would give me an appointment slot to speak to the practice pharmacist. NO! "After you've done the e-consult you'll be contacted in the next 24 'working' hours" I asked what specific time I would be contacted. "We can't give a specific time. All I can say is you'll get a call within the next 24 working hours" WHAT??? They asked me to book an appointment and they can't even give me a time? The Care Quality Commission couldn't conceivably 'Care' less as they ignore any of the reviews without any reference to the feedback or complaints made about this practice and rate it as "GOOD". My next step is to find an alternative practice after nearly 12 years of having registered with this one when initially you could get an appointment with a GP. Avoid this practice like the Bubonic Plague because if you do, you'll end up under the grass in Blackheath.
"Utterly appalling"
