My wife was admitted to Barnstaple Hospital in November following weeks of treatment by her GP for bowel disease. She was in great pain and her protein/blood levels were very low. She spent 4 days in MAU and Capener wards, and I can say the attention, treatment and care she received were of the highest quality.
The transformation was remarkable and continues to this day, as this disease will always be with her. Her treatment has been outstanding and she is continuing to be carefully monitored by the gastroenterology department. Special mention please for consultant Dr Davis and Judith , Monica and the gentleman who devised her medication plan. Thank you also to Dietitian Siobhan and of course all of the nursing staff. You are all our NHS Heroes.
