"Unacceptable treatment of my daughter"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Acute Medical Initial Assessment Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Acute Short Stay Medicine

(as a service user),

My daughter has had cyclic vomiting syndrome every month since last hogmany  her trigger being her periods. Each episode normally ends up in a hospital visit being admitted to ward 101 then transferred to 103 the last time she was in the member of staff on charge (not sure on name) was horrible to my daughter(which was not the first time either) there is never normally a problem if  she wants outside for fresh air but this nurse said if you're ok to go out for air you are ok to go home and basically ripped the canula from the back of her hand with my daughter screaming and hysterical. I will find out this staff member's name when we have another visit to ward 103 as this was not acceptable at all. If that is your attitude with patients, then I don't think you should be a nurse in charge of sick people. I know my daughter is not a good patient when ill, but she does get very ill with it so its understandable being ratty and not in the mood for no one

I am not a happy mum
