Thank you for posting your feedback. We are sorry about your delay in getting your implant. Regrettably, this has predominantly been due to the Covid 19 pandemic as it was government advice to stop all non-urgent, face to face appointments during the start and the height of the pandemic. This was to protect the health of our patients and staff. During this time we were only able to offer our contraception patients the contraceptive pill (which we could post out after a telephone consultation) so they had a method of contraception whilst waiting for Covid restrictions to lift. This resulted in a backlog of patients requiring the coil or implant. We do very much understand patient frustrations relating to length of wait. We have worked hard and are continuing to work hard to catch up the backlog and are pleased you had a positive experience when you came to clinic.
