"The shop prices are way too expensive Rampton"

The shop prices are way too expensive. In one of our Patient Involvement meetings a Patient said she had seen a gift on sale in the shop attached to it was a £12.99 tag and it was on sale for £26.00 !!!

There are limited xmas items in the shop.

We are only allowed to buy 3 chocolates from the xmas selection every 2 weeks .

Why cant we go back to shopping as it used to be. We have capacity to make decisions but this is not the case with the shop

Many thanks for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience within the National High Secure Women's Service.

I am sorry that you feel the service you are provided with in the patients shop is not conducive to your needs and that the prices are too expensive.

Our Associate Director of Nursing, Quality and Patient Experience chairs the Rampton Hospital food and shop group, the next meeting is Monday 13th December 1pm.

I will ensure this feedback is tabled for discussion at the meeting. It would be great if you also attend and hear his response first hand. Should you wish to attend please speak to DRC staff.

We understand how disappointing it is for all concerned when group meetings have to be cancelled particularly when there are outstanding actions that need to be addressed and responded to as necessary.

I know that patients across the whole hospital have expressed their concerns too about this particular meeting. My apologies for the slow progress.

I have invited James Smith to join our next patient Involvement meeting so he can directly answer your questions. The next meeting being the 21st December.

Thank you for sending us your feedback. Like Martina says the next Food/shop group is on the 13th December at 1pm. I will also be attending this meeting and will support you with this in the meeting.

I do know that an invite for someone from the shop to attend the meeting has happened as we have have had a few questions relating to the shop.

I can now say after a few meetings have been postponed that they will now take place when planed this includes the food and shop group and the Tec group which is meeting on the 6th December at 6pm.

like Martina says it would be great to have the Patients reps attending and prepared for the meetings with additional questions
