Had real trouble getting a canula in and was convinced I couldn’t do the procedure without sedation. Everyone on the ward was lovely and trying so hard to help me calm down and take my mind off things!
The endoscopist came round when it was evident the canula wouldn’t work and was so nice and understanding and really made me feel great about going ahead.
I decided to go ahead without sedation and just the throat numbing spray and every single person in the procedure room made me feel comfortable and we’re joking around with me but still remained very professional.
The procedure went without a hitch and the endoscopist was amazing as was everyone else I interacted with.
They really made me feel comfortable. Thank you to everyone on the ward and everyone that helped me during my procedure!
