My husband had been suffering with acid reflux for the last few months and getting gradually worst I was trying to get him help after he wasn’t eating, after a very distressing call with 111 who told me “the reason nothing is helping your husband symptoms is because it’s likely he has cancer”!

I took my husband to a&e and what a wonderful team of staff we met! We were both very upset, they listened, cared and tried to reassure us whilst doing what they could in their power to help us! Going above and beyond to try and get us scans and getting us in touch with the right surgical teams to review the results. I want to say a massive thank you to the team working Saturday 20th November night shift in waiting area 3. The Dr who dealt with us, the lady who carried out his CT scan, the nurses and the great surgical team, even the very supportive receptionist who booked us in, you all came and reviewed my husband, supported, listened and helped I am forever grateful for this and the empathy in which you are showed toward us.

Many people only share their negative experiences but credit where credit is due. We can’t thank you enough for your help and support.
