"Put our minds at ease"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Day Case Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My youngest child had their day case admission today for teeth removal. Although nothing too serious it was still a very scary/nerve wracking time for myself and their dad. They went above and beyond constantly checking on us, gave myself a hug once my child went under the general, because I was really upset.  They talked us through every single step to put our minds at ease!

I really can’t thank our nurses enough but especially Dawn who was amazing at her job and has only just graduated.

Thanks for getting in touch StephP.

You're right it can be a very scary time when your child has a general anaesthetic, but I’m delighted to hear the team went above and beyond to support you both and put your minds at ease.

Thank you for highlighting a big thank you for the nurses, and in particular Dawn, who has settled into her role just perfectly and is an asset to the team.

I hope your daughter is recovering well.

Take care,

Sue
