I had my lidocaine infusion last wk. I’m so grateful! I have fibromyalgia and the last two years the infusion was put on hold and I have really struggled for two years trying to keep going and working . I believe N.I.C.E want to stop the infusions but I really pray they don’t! Because I’ve started to feel so much better again. I still take other meds but my pain is so much more manageable with the infusion and my meds. Please keep the lidocaine infusions going because without it I will really struggle to continue working and to function .
N.I.C.E new guidance for fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue to doctors is don't prescribe tramadol unless patients already on it and receive benefits , I was bed bound and use to be in bed all day in immense sense pain then would get up to do few hours to teach piano then back to bed, I felt there was no point to my life or being alive I had no life, then put on tramadol and it helped me to function better. But then still had very bad wks, then offered lidocaine infusions and it worked so well with my meds I became more active , enjoyed my children again and felt I had my life back.
I wish the doctors could have fibro and chronic fatigue for a day then they would realise how debilitating it is and how much pain you experience. No amount of exercise makes my pain better instead would put me in bed for a wk and make me worse! But with lidocaine infusion and my tramadol and duloxetine I can function more like a normal person, not pain free but I can do a lot more then I could and even do bit exercise. Please please please do not stop the lidocaine infusions! My life will be so much harder again and living with fibromyalgia is no fun!
